NASTURTIUMS IN THE SUN

NASTURTIUMS IN THE SUN

Autumn morning sunlight lights
leaves and flowers of tumble-growing
nasturtiums by veranda side.

Shifting to air's slightest flowing,
rounded leaves, so broad and bright,
veined from centre like green suns,
sparkle with white drops from night's
dewfall, bright as scattered gems.

From the greeness flowers poke
in untidy celebration ,
luminous with sunshine, glowing
yellow, orange, orange-red,
burning notes to sing to sight-

kisses from the heart of light.
